Do you have a question about the Hoover and is the answer not in the manual?
How do you remove or clean the suction cover. Is there a way to remove this? I have not found any way to clean the nasty stuff!
Same question Type your response here Add my commentTo remove or clean the suction cover of the Hoover SteamVac, please follow these steps: 1. Turn off the cleaner and unplug it from the electrical outlet. 2. Press down on the handle of the clean water tank and pull it forward to remove it. Set the tank aside. 3. On the dirty water tank, turn the latches outward (one on each side of the tank). 4. Raise the handle of the tank straight up and lift the tank off the cleaner. Carry the tank to a sink or drain. 5. Lower the handle toward the back of the tank to unlock the lid. Lift the lid off the tank. 6. Empty the tank and reposition the lid. 7. Make sure the tank lid is properly secured before cleaning to ensure full suction. 8. Raise the tank handle to the carrying position and place it back onto the cleaner. Lower the handle to the front of the tank and turn the latches inward to lock the tank in place.

Post reaction Francine May 18, 2023Should I add a cleaning solution to the water before cleaning my carpet?
Same question Type your response here Add my commentNo, you should not add a cleaning solution to the water before cleaning your carpet with the Hoover SteamVac. It is recommended to use the Hoover carpet cleaner with an agitator for best results. Vacuum the carpet thoroughly before cleaning. If you need to treat spots and heavy traffic areas, you can use the Hoover Spot & Stain Spray Cleaner. It is important to test for colorfastness in a small, hidden area before cleaning the entire floor. Move furniture out of the area to be cleaned, or place aluminum foil or wax paper under the legs to prevent wood finishes from staining the carpet. Protect wood or metal surfaces from water spray by using plastic or aluminum foil. Do not use the Hoover SteamVac on hard floors unless you have the proper hard floor attachment to avoid scratching or damaging the floor.

Same question (1) Type your response here Add my comment Bruce BallentineJanuary 17, 2024I have a Hoover Steamvac Gold carpet cleaner. Purchased about 2000. Has worked very well but now the “fill reservoir” valve in the bottom has failed and leaks fluid. How can I get a new valve? I live in Chapel Hill, NC.
Same question (3) Type your response here Add my comment@Bruce Ballentine Hey Bruce ~ This happens to all of them, eventually (I have a 1994 Dual V and am on my 3rd reservoir). The reservoir is all plastic, so you cannot replace the valve (that I know of) and just have to replace the reservoir. Last one I bought through a local "repair shop" was $50 or less.
Post reaction Paul FellowsJune 27, 2024Does the SteamVac V actually create steam as it runs? I was told by a dealer that these machines do not produce steam.PAUL
Same question Type your response here Add my comment@Paul Fellows No. It heats the water with heat from the motor, but it's mostly warm/hot air. You can help by using warm/hot water in the clean water reservoir.
